The Tampa Bay Coastal Prediction System was developed by Mark S. Vincent as a component of his Ph.D. in Engineering research.
This research was conducted in cooperation between the College of Marine Science and the College of Engineering at the University of South Florida.
Mark's dissertation title for this independent research was:
"Development, Implementation and Analysis of the Tampa Bay Coastal Prediction System"
Mark graduated in April 2002.
In addition, Mark was the lead modeler for two significant salinity management projects in Tampa Bay, involving a seawater desalination plant and a river diversion system.
The supervisory committee for this dissertation consists of members representing the College of Engineering (Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Department of Mechanical Engineering); the College of Marine Science; and private industry.
