Images from the model are named as follows:

where mm = month, yy = year, and n = layer number. For example; '0192_1.gif' is an image containing the model output for layer one on Jan. 16, 1992. n=0 denotes sea surface elevation.

Tracer modeling: The Indian Ocean circulation model is being used in conjunction with ocean measurements of transient tracers to simulate the penetration and circulation of CFCs into the Indian Ocean.
